Affordable Cold Conservatory Solutions

Conservatories don’t always come with a regulated temperature, older conservatories can be too cold to use during the winter but you chose a conservatory to add living space to your home so here are some solutions to make your space warmer and energy efficient.

It’s a good idea to start by finding any problem areas where draughts may be coming in. Check to make sure all doors and windows close properly. If there are gaps where cold air can creep in, an immediate and low-cost solution would be to fill any gaps with sealant. Although this is not a long-term solution and you would need to revamp the space eventually.

The flooring is one of the largest surface areas of your conservatory and can feel chilly in winter. A fairly cheap way to warm your feet and add insulation would be to put down a large rug.
